Alice Rudolf was born in Lippstadt, Germany. She moved to Regensburg, Bavaria, where she now lives, to study psychology and art history, advancing her understanding of composition, color and diverse techniques of painting.
After graduating from university and achieving her approbation as a psychotherapist, she was able to devote herself to painting more intensively.
In addition to her fundamentally autodidactic artistic development she always sought to enrich her artistic range, attending workshops and advanced art courses.
As a founding member of the art and cultural association “L.E.D.E.R.E.R. e.V.” she went public with her work for the first time. Various exhibitions followed. While landscapes, seascapes and garden-paintings were her main focus for a long time,
her interest shifted, when she began to explore the link between therapy and art. That marked the beginning of her series of portraits, her subjects being mostly women.
Currently, she works in equal parts in her psychological practice and her studio.
