Emils Salmins

Emils Salmins is a tattoo artist by day and a printmaker by night, living in Riga, Latvia. He has been tattooing for 13 years in different countries and continents, and this has allowed him to explore different cultures. His art is influenced a lot by different European folklore as well as vintage Asian art, especially Yukio-e. For him, this art form is very exciting because there are so many steps you need to take and so many possibilities for how to take them. You can mix and match according to how you feel. One of his favorite things is using handmade paper, and for him, it’s always a pleasure to find a nice paper and make awesome prints on it.
