La Cuadrilla Canibal

The original painting is part of the series “Typical Spanglish” that Sergio Mora exhibited for the first time n 2010 in Barcelona at the Art and Design Gallery. In the series Mora plays with Spanish clichés, conjugating them with the iconography of the B-series culture. The work, entitled “La Cuadrilla Caníbal” or “The Cannibal Squad” was exhibited years later and sold in the exhibition for the anniversary of the Gallery “La Luz de Jesús” in Los Angeles. The work represents a festive scene in which we can see some characters around a table, we do not know if they are celebrating or if they are going to eat someone.
