Ollin

Nahui Ollin emerges as a profound and multi-faceted concept within the realms of Aztec and Mexican Mythology. In its linguistic essence, ‘Nahui’ resonates as ‘four,’ while ‘Ollin’ exudes the ethereal notions of ‘motion’ and ‘movement.’ In the sacred pages of Aztec codices, Ollin unfurls before the beholder as a symphony of two interwoven lines, gracefully culminating in paired central termini.

An embodiment of cosmic rhythm, Ollin encapsulates the cyclical dance of nature’s elements in harmonious conjunction with the four cardinal directions. This enigmatic concept stands as a cornerstone within the intricate tapestry of Aztec and Mexica cosmology, imparting sagacious counsel for daily existence and the profound act of decision-making. Its ultimate aspiration lies in the art of equipoise, even amidst the turbulent currents of adversity. Indeed, Nahui Ollin transcends mere symbolism, embracing cultural facets that herald the virtues of community, knowledge, enlightenment, resolve, metamorphosis, and above all, the profound journey of self-reflection.
