Trashed
The design represented in this rug is entitled Trashed, a series of graphics with several characters literally “trashed”. In this chapter, the skeleton, between surprise and anger, is surrounded by banana peels, cans and cute rats. The blue sky background contrasts with the decadent and degraded environment, with the cartoonish style making it almost playful.
The work itself is a tragicomic perspective about recycling, on how our choices might lead to trashing ourselves.
