Winter in Montreux

Dmitrieva Daria graduated in 2012, from the Rostov-on-Don, Russia, State Academy of Art and Architecture where she had been studying Art and Textile Design. Upon her graduation, she moved to France to continue her education at the graduate school of the Lyon Institute of Fashion. After graduating from the institute in 2013, she went through her internship in Lyon. Upon completion of the internship, she moved to Paris and started to work in the fashion industry. While working and living in Paris, she had been partaking in the textile design contests, such as Fabricut, Casamance, Petit Bateau, Hermes, Fete Imperiale, etc. In 2018, she was amongst the finalists of the Nano Art contest arranged by Roi Dore in Paris. In march 2021 she exhibited her solo show in Galerie Couteron in Paris. At this time, her works were being exhibited in a few galleries in Russia and France and collected in private collections in France, Russia, the USA, Germany, Italy and Israel. Her work is about joy, self-expression and a desire to share emotions and impressions. Her inspiration is to create an atmosphere and ambiance for those who look at my abstract art allowing everyone to discover one's own forms and feelings. Her technique is a mixed-up multi-layered acrylic paint, palette knife, and brush. Occasionally, she tries some different techniques, such as a roller, sponge, napkin and her bare hands.
