Aleksey Zhilyaev

Born and living in Moscow. Self-taught Aleksey Zhilyaev started with small sculptures in 2015. In the works he used skulls as the main image, combining warm and cold materials, wood and gems. Later he switched to canvas and paper, where the main theme was pop art based on characters from American cartoons of the 50-60s. At the same time in the works appeared gilding as a contrasting element. Now the main idea of the works is geometric composition, which allows you to discard everything superfluous and appreciate the fundamentality and integrity.
