Wendy Cohen

Wendy Cohen is a Sydney-based artist who actively exhibits her work at The New York Art Expo, Art Spectrum Miami, Art San Diego, Venice Biennale and The Other Art Fair in Sydney as well as exhibiting in group shows in Chelsea, New York, Houston, Rome, Madrid and Switzerland.
She received a Top 60 Masters by Art Tour International award 2021, 2022 and 2023 and was named an Artist of the Future by Contemporary Art Curator in 2020.

Wendy creates innovative virtuosic mixed media canvases which depict the harmony and beauty of the world. A sense of exploration and discovery characterizes Wendy’s artworks as she embraces risk-taking and does not shy away from experimentation. Her approach to painting is always spontaneous and full of innovation and invention.
Her practice focuses on the connection of colors, shapes, lines and forms with the connection of urban and natural environments, which she communicates in an abstract language. Her works depict energy and movement that rotate with an interplay of various shapes, tones of color and light. As a result, her works are imbued with a sense of curiosity, wonderment and intrigue to enliven sensorial sensations that remain open to the viewer’s interpretation. Her aim is to create a whimsical vibrant genre breathing new creative life into recycled materials that are collaged onto the canvas to transform the surfaces of her works into dynamic art pieces. Observation, intuition and imagination are key to Wendy’s process as she responds to the magnificence of the interconnection of the world.
