Reatus Sanguis

The sense of guilt is that which, even if someone is forgiven, still feels obligated to make reparation for their actions. Two forms of reparation are proposed: purification and atonement.
LeonKa uses hands to symbolize actions in general on the part of the subject. If the water is and as understood in various mythologies it is used for cleansing, purification, the hand-spilling water symbolizes the ability to offer spiritual renewal. In the right image a hand spilling blood is illustrated, in accordance with several traditional symbolic uses, the offering of shedding one’s own blood is used in many civilizations as a symbol of atoning for guilt.
