USAMel Patterson is a surf artist based in San Diego, California, who has been working as a graphic designer since 2006. She rediscovered her passion for painting in 2020, creating art that brings the essence of the beach indoors while California beaches were closed. Inspired by her love for the ocean and beach culture, Mel focuses on ocean waves, landscapes, and tropical flowers. Her work features intricate line work and vibrant colors, influenced by her background in Japanese printmaking, and she uses acrylic paint pens to bring her visions to life.
