Two Worlds in One

Grith Ludwig was born in Copenhagen Denmark, and is a graduate of the Drawing Institute of Copenhagen and Krogerup College. Twenty years old, Grith moved to Canada and continued her art studies at Central Technical Special Art School of Toronto Canada where she graduated with honors, and Ludwig was awarded a Ph.D. in Art later on. A truly international artist, Grith has lived & worked in Denmark, Canada, Colombia, the USA and Mexico and each of these countries has influenced her art and outlook on life. Grith employed her broad Art education with the design firm Teknisk Aero in Copenhagen, then Collier & Park Advertising Agency in Toronto where she worked as an Art Director, Graphic Designer and Illustrator for a number of years. In Toronto Ludwig was a founding member of SoHo, a Queen St West art movement, with an emphasis on art meets music. Moving back to Denmark in the nineties Grith also taught Fine Art in the Art School of Copenhagen as well as in her private studio. Grith traveled extensively in Colombia, South America and this journey was to influence her work greatly. Throughout the eighties until present, Grith has been painting, teaching and exhibiting in multiple countries. In 2013, Grith returned to Cuernavaca Mexico, to live and work where she lives to this day. Grith's expansive network allows her to continue her work and exhibit in Denmark, Mexico, U.S.A., and Canada. Her paintings, drawings and mixed media works have been exhibited worldwide (Galeria Poliforum Siqueiros, Mexico City, Gallery Gerly, Copenhagen, Denmark, Gallery Art 54, New York, USA., L.A. Impression Gallery, Los Angeles) Her works are in numerous corporate and private collections in Europe, Canada, Mexico and United States.
